Chrisp has a 6000PG I have used, felt bomb proof. Not quite as smooth as the 2008 models but feel a bit more solid.

I got an 8000pg. Havnt
I got an 8000pg. Havnt caught anything substantial yet but feels very solid. Probably a bit more heavy duty than the previous model but as stated above not as smooth. Cant see any reason why it won't exceed the standard of the previous model

Bought a 6000pg couple of
Bought a 6000pg couple of weeks back from Oceanside and christened it on a good size Sambo, knocked it over in no time at all, reel felt very solid. Can't compare it to previous model coz I never owned one but it's miles ahead of any of the mid-priced reels I've used before. Very happy with the upgrade.

Seems that the smaller sizes
Seems that the smaller sizes don't have the rotor play that Allan is on about. I was looking for an 18000 and found an SW. Smoother no rotor play and less winding effort, just hope it lasts longer the my 10000SW. About half a dozen sailfish a couple of sambos and three GTs and it was stuffed. New pinion and gear set under warranty.
I actually fish.
