3 Mile Salmon in September

Brilliant arvo on the water yesterday, ended the day anchoring on 3 mile, setting a few rods and having a relaxing few beers giggling over what was a sensational afternoons fishing.
Got immediately blitzed by a few big sambos then this salmon took a live whiting. In September, north of the river......Bloody Norah!

Pinky Sess
We tried having one a couple of weeks back on 3 mile. Party got crashed by a school of Salmon - average size was 6kg and they hung around the boat until dark.
I never thought I'd get sick of catching Salmon but I'm close to it now!!!

Yeah Hutch, up off Scarbs.
Yeah Hutch, up off Scarbs. Heaps of boats around, most a few hundred meters further out than us, one boat was a bit closer in to shore from us and we heard them yelling and laughing a few times, obviously having a lot of fun like us. Was that you blokes?
Say gday next time.

Yep Paj, same for us, no
Yep Paj, same for us, no pinkies, but blitzed by big sambos (unstoppable in 13 m) and salmon. A couple of 80 cm dhuies earlier in the arvo eased the pain.

Seem to be following a really similar pattern to last year, bit quiet after the main run for a few months then pop up north of the river early September then run strong til December..
