Hi Guys,
looking at a 7m assassin for my first boat with twin 90hp mariners. Anyone had any experience with these boats there built in Bunbury. Thanks

Sounds massively under
Sounds massively under powered .. that's about the equivalent of a single 150 ? From memory a mate had a single 200 and it was about right .. imo

Since 2005 Assasin boats have been made in Bibra lake by Redline marine.
If its in that time frame give them a ring.

That the one for sale in Karratha? Looks like a good buy for the money. Been for sale for a while and come down a fair way on price.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

i saw this boat at the mandurah boat show. I reckon it's one of the best boats on the market - thought out very well. If I had the $$$ i'd be going for one! Are you looking at the 7mm extended hard top? From what I remember the one at the show had a 225 honda on the back....

Mate has a 6.5m assasin
Mate has a 6.5m assasin (Bunbury made) with a 175 Honda. Well made boat and great features. One thing that i've noticed is that they are top heavy? or something which makes it feel quite "tippy"??

Good Boats
Not sure of twin 90hp Mariners. Seems a little underdone. Assassins are good boats. They have a fine entry with large reverse chines which makes for a great ride, but probably leads to the feeling that Silly describes above about being quite tippy. They are fine at rest, but tend to lean etc when underway, particularly if someone moves around. Trim tabs will solve that problem. Perhaps the twin motors help as well. I saw one that was a couple of years old that had a lot of paint peeling on the hard top so not sure how well finished they are.

Same as the one
Same as the one I own West Coast, paint peeling problems. Same age as well and they don't want to know about it. I honestly say I wouldnt recommend them at all, or the dealer

Definetly underpowered with
Definetly underpowered with the 90hp Mariners. But remember that twice the amount of motors can mean twice the problems potentially- also more fuel, costs for servicing, maintenance etc. I'd be looking for one with a single engine.
Assassins are great WA boats IMO

Yeah I often wondered about the Assassin finish. You get a fair bit of boat for your money. So perhaps they save a bit on the finishings and manufacturing quality. I have a Searider 7.5m with similar hull shape. I highly recommend the fine entry and reverse chines. The ride is great and that 'tippy' feeling is solved with the trim tabs, and at rest it is fine.

They are a good looking boat
They are a good looking boat West Coast , built well for sure . They handle following seas well and off the side and stability at rest is awesome. The question I ask is , the chines don't alter in size from their 6.1 to the 7.6 metre range. My boat pounds badly at times heading into it and I really think they are good for the larger range boat but in the 6 metre range they need to be a bit smaller. Cheers nev

Noble Boats
You should have a look at the Noble 685 hard top.
The ride is excellent and there is enough deck space to have a dinner party in the back.
Great list of standard features too.
