Fri, 2010-09-17 20:30

these guys have chartered the boat Spearfishing club WA Undersea Club has a few spots left on its Abrolhos charter 1st -3rd October aboard the Island Leader. We will leave Friday night and dive Sat and Sun. This is a nice weekend dive without having to take time off work. We plan to dive the Middle(Easter) group. The Abrolhos is truly one of WAs premier dive locations and the Island Leader is a 90 ft vessel with bunks, hot showers and cooking facilities.
Cost is $320 for members and $350 for non members. Price includes all food and ice. We take our own boats across on the charter so you will also need to contibute to the cost of them.
Call Graham 0412 945 722 for further information.

It runs during the off

Fri, 2010-09-17 20:35

It runs during the off season, its the cray/crewy transport during the cray season.

Its probably a good opportunity for divers, but keep in mind that they will bunk other divers with you to fill up the spaces on your boat so not so good if you want to fish and dive.

bunk ...

Fri, 2010-09-17 21:08

Perhaps bunk was the wrong word, deckie, ie; during the day.

I was going to head over on a previous trip, but the spearos didn't have enough small boats to dive off each day, so they were looking to put them on other boats during the day.

Great Trip

Sun, 2010-10-03 10:04

I've being doing this dive & fishing trip for 14 years, 21 of us, 14 divers-7 fishos stay over the long weekend in September the Queens Birthday. Leave Friday and come back on Tuesday afternoon 2.30pm, they supply ice and the but our price includes bait, bread, milk, eggs, butter, vegemite, jam, potatoes etc but most guys pre make their meals or just bring a steak or just eat what they catch. BYO drinks of course! Sin to forget! The only down fall now is the fish limits are now 10kg. You only need to land a few woppers to cover your quotta now! This would have to be one of the best times for having a drinking session at night after a great days fishing. Some very memorable and fun times had on these trips as everyone has been different! Thanks to our skipper Splinter and deckie Tony for a safe trip just gone by.
