Air con help
Eldery lady across the road had a vent fall down due to recent storms i believe,,it was held in place with double sided tape so i got on a ladder and put some self tapping screws in,on the way out in room another vent looked a bit dodgy you could see the tape was starting to let go in one corner so i got on the ladder and put some screws in,,i noticed this one had a big foil tube over it and only realiesed then these were air con tubes, there was nothing over the first vent.
I am guessing the other tube has blown or moved in the roof when the vent collassped ,when i find it i was just wondering what holds them in place above the vents to stop them moving about,i told her not to use the air con and i am back this evening to sort it out,,any ideas ? cheers,,

Hey mate, im not an aircon
Hey mate, im not an aircon mechanic but work on construction sites. Im pretty sure they just push the flexi duct over the vent/grill and then just tape around the join with that silver reinforced ductape. That tape is alot stickier, stronger and longer lasting then just normal ductape so if you can get a hold of some then that should be fine. Ive actualy got some on my ute, if you happen to be working in or near perth city today i can give you a roll?!
