albany devil ray?

Albany DEC Fire Officers working in the Cheynes Beach area recently assisted Fisheries Officers with the disposal of a 2.5 metre wide Devil Ray that had washed ashore. Devil Rays are traditionally found in warmer sub-tropical waters.

Well they did have a Whale Shark down there last year, or was it Bremer Bay? Cant remember but yeah interesting seeing them down that far south.

A few weeks ago PDA out on Lionfish IV was at Crystal Palace dive site off Rottnest and i have been told they had a few of these Devil(Manta?) Rays swimming around with the divers. Would have been a cool experience!
