G'day to all,
I'm looking at buying an Ally trendsetter(2005) 5.5m with a 4 stroke 140 johnson(628 hours) on the back.I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of reputation these hulls have and whether you think this would be a good boat for the waters around Karratha.
Thanks for the welcome boys and any information would be greatly appreciated.Cheers

If its a Trendsetter as in
If its a Trendsetter as in made by Trendsetter Marine, formerly in Rockingham but now shut shop, then it may be similar to my boat which is a 5.8m Quarter Cab ally with a 115hp 4 stk Merc.
If it is then, one thing about my boat is its wide for its length, being 2.45m at its widest point. So it is a very great boat for stability when at rest, but i do find it does tend to wallow a bit in rough seas though this could be also due to its light weight and relatively underpowered motor(rated to 160hp). It is lighter than comparable ally boats being only 1320kg complete weight of boat trailer and motor. We have used this boat up at Exmouth many times and it has preformed brilliantly.
