Another nice tailor

G'Day,
I noticed Ryans post started with a big metro tailor. It looks like there might be quite a few around, I got this one last evening, 710mm and 3.2kg (7lb).
Fishing from a boat Rockingham area.
Cheers,
Joe

Joe, I add pics via photobucket which you can do with a simple
cut and paste.
Have a look at Dreamweaver's Adding Photos to Fishwrecked section on the top right hand side of the Fisawrecked page.

Yeah that's me Deefa, I"ve
Yeah that's me Deefa, I"ve had a pretty bad run over the last 4 or 5 trips, so it's good to see they're still there.
The thing I love about this spot is when they're on, you have to get the bail arm over before the bait hits the water, or the line will be zipping out too quick to get it over! Approx 5-7 seconds before fish on last night.
dpost80, I don't know about secret, there's a whole range of good spots along the back of the Murray chain, just fish early morning or late arvo/evening definately on a rising tide, near the top of the tide, and you can't go wrong.
Cheers,
Joe

Not normally, I find trebles
Not normally, I find trebles too annoying to remove, and they tear up the fish's mouth which is no good for releasing them. I never use them on ganged hooke either.
I've thought about getting one of those hardbody jointed gardie lures, as they smash gardie baits, but they're pretty pricey, and the gardies are good fun to catch on the fly rod.
That reminds me, I got my first 2 tailor on fly on Monday evening, not huge, about 42cm, but popped that cherry!

Image added to previous
Image added to previous post, and yeah I do go for the light gear too, I got this salmon on a 2-5kg graphite bream ro on Monday, the other was on a boat rod.
I just noticed the rod looks like a broomstick in the pic, shadow from the flash I think.
