Any advise

Gday not sure if I'm doing something wrong or the Crays are not moving out of garden island but I'm fishing around Hawleys shoal and out a mile or so from there dropping the pots in the sandy patches as I've been told ther are other pots in the vicinity but noticed a lot more in a bit closer am I too far out at the moment ? We did get one nice big red thismorning 1.5 kg from the two pots further out but no whites . Any help for a fist timer from the Kimberly would be much appreciated . Thanks guys

hey mate we are struggling as well, we have had the pots in for about 4 weeks with only 11 crays being caught so it's been tough going. I know what it's like allways second guessing yrself weather they are on good enough ground or not. We have been fishing nw of Carnac on the inside of the ffb in about 18 metres. I noticed the pros today bombing pots on the ffb inside edge in about 14 mtrs. If we get nothing tomorrow we might move ours in that general area . Wish you all the best mate hopefully it improves for both of us soon

Well your doing better than me cobber mine have been in for about the same time for only 5 Crays all reds but hopefully our luck will change soon they seem to be hit and miss at the moment my mate up the coast in Leeman got 14 yesterday and 12 today all whites and he said there just starting up there . I might get one of those glass bottom buckets to check out the bottom not that I've ever had trouble reading my sounder b4 and I can see the sand patches where the whites supposedly walk so all the best mate let us know how you go I'm going to pull mine again tomorrow .

Well I'm not giving up yet got first multiple Crays today 2 whites in the one pot yip eeh other three pots empty had two out a bit wider so moved them into where we got the two see what happens , saw a couple fellas pull a pot close to where we set them an they were high fiving when they got it up so might be starting to move on the outside of toxic (garden) island but I'm guessing they will go quiet in the next few days for the full moon ? Then hopefully be out in force just after ..

Bad weather forecast

Sun, 2015-11-22 15:46

The weather forecast for next week is not looking to good. If anyone has pots out with bad ropes etc I think they could be at risk of loosing their gear.
