not an auto sparky but a toyota technician, ur sure its the actuator? seen alot of these changed only for it to be the abs ecu under the dash, usually caused by water entry. wots the fault?
nah i got it wrong i need a controller for an actuator for the trailer ill tow. its got hydraulic over electric brakes so i need a controller in the car so the actuator will work
Think he means an electric brake controller for his trailer brakes????.... But yeah, Iv diagnosed a fault with the electric master cyl/abs unit on a 100 series once, was the electric motor, give it a wack and it came to life!
Theyre pretty easy to fit, hardest bit is just running a wire down to the back. If ya NOR, see the boys at North Coast Auto Electrics in Wangara, I went to TAFE with Brad the manager there, they do top work there, but really, any sparky should be able to throw one in for you no dramas, ask Kempy (hes in Malaga) for FW discount haha
