I was bottom bouncing the other day and saw some fish start to hit the surface -- I immeadiately thaough SBT and got the skirts out for a troll -- got hit hard and nearly had my stella 4000 spooled by a 10kg Yellow Tail King -- it was pretty exciting and made some great sashimi.

LOTS of Rat yellow tail
LOTS of Rat yellow tail kings and small tuna about yesterday mate....nothing worth keeping
water is really really bloody cold on west side - 20.6 degrees was warmest patch we fished....seem to remember same time last year was about 21.9ish.
there was some 21 degree spots in 15-20m on east side but we didn't fish it.
