Never
Neever been up that way, but a few of my mates used to go often.
They used nets no worries, but always said the baits get torn up very quick by the crabs, sharks and other fish. Thier favorite bait, and easy to store on the trip was tinned tuna or cat food
I was told to just poke holes in the tin, push some fencing wire through and secure them to the base of the net. That way the crabs cant get all the bait, and oil/smell continues out of the tin for ages.
Seen some pictures of the tins after a few time in the water, amazed to see them srhedded by the muddies.
Mabye some other members could give some more info , Cheers Grant

Put on ya booties
And go searching through the mangroves. I had no idea what i was doing the first time but if you spend enough time looking and clambering about you will find some. take note of the area you found one in and go looking in similar habitat. I'm just an amature at catching muddies but if you put in the effort you can be rewarded.
