Any Transducer Wizards?
I just got a Furuno 627 with P66 and currently have a Humminbird 798 with the transducer mounted. I have a Seafarer V-Sea which has a factory built pod on the back.
Obviously I want the P66 in the prime location as I only want the Humminbird ducer for GPS and side scan. I was going to place it next to the existing ducer but the current one is already just off the swing radius of the prop and the P66 needs to be 75mm away. Not much I can do about the 75mm distance but I'll have to place the P66 where the Humminbird ducer is as the side of the pod directly to the right (starboard) is curved.
I've got two question for all of you versed in the black art of ducer placement. Will the P66 be ok within 75mm of the swing radius of the prop and will the Humminbird ducer be better placed in between the P66 and the keel or should I place it on the port side. I'll only be using the Humminbird side scan at low speeds when bream fishing or chasing tailor etc adjacent to exposed reef.

I had a chat to one of the boys at Taylor Marine and they seem to think it should be ok where the Humminbird ducer is. Suck it and see I suppose and move the Humminbird to the port side and mount that P66 in it's spot.
What do you guys plug your screw holes up with? I've asked around and an epoxy like araldite that will soak into the ply topped off with an epoxy putty seems to be the go
