Good luck Chris
Looks like it will be a good night to be throwing unweighted mulies.

Mate have you tried gang
Mate have you tried gang hooks with a treble on the end?? ...Leave the treble hanging behind/alongside the tail - usually nails them!

You should cut the tails off the mulies
before you throw them out Chris. Helps with casting and stops some of the twisting on retreival.

No worries Chris
Quite often you will find that skippy or bream are taking the tails off your mulies - so if you are keen to catch them then keep the tail and try the treble attached to the last ganged hook as Ben suggested.
Personally I would be finding a reefy looking spot and throwing a mulie out with the tail snipped off at this time of the year. There are some cracking tailor around now - as Charles' capture on Sunday showed.
