Anyone ever launched at guilderton?

hey guys just wondering if anyone ever beach launches at guilderton / Moore river? I launch a bit at ledge point because often stay at seabird (Nonna has a holiday house there) and it's too boggy to launch there. Can't even bribe the caravan park owner to let me use his boat ramp! I sometimes do day trips to ledge though so if possible and guilderton beach is firm / as good as ledge might give it a go. Any thoughts or suggestions? Cheers

boat size

It can be very sketchy, what size boat are you intending on launching?
The only spot to launch is just north of the rock groyne.

I have just got back from there and plenty of tinnies have been going out in the good weather over the last couple of days but it cops a lot of wash and swell particularly once the SW is in so the beach can be very unstable and it changes from day to day.

I got stuck badly there years ago with a 4m quintrex had a good bloke with a tractor who launches there get me out

I still do a fair bit of beach launching at other places with a bigger boat these days so have a pretty good idea. I have looked at using the drop down wheel setup on my current rig but if the swell gets up a little it would swamp the boat as the beach inside the groyne sometimes gets a bit of a washing machine effect. So I think for anything bigger than a tinny a tractor is the best bet for that spot.

yeah I hadn't really heard of people launching there but my brother in law was there today for a swim and he sent me a pic msg of a few boats retrieving there. So just thought I'd ask the question. I have a 4.65m trailcraft so might stick to ledge. Just thought could be a closer option. Didn't know that about the caravan park a local just told me he was a wanker haha.

Well the local don't know shit lol as it's a strata titled park and no one owner. I actually own a place there and we have a caretaker who's does a bloody good job. He probably had me in the pic as I was out today nailing good fish ;)
