Saturday fishing
We got out on Saturday, and after a slow start the fish woke up late morning.
We ended up with a boat record of 8 dhufish caught for the day, ranging from undersize to about 7kg, nothing huge but a record all the same. Also caught quite a few red snapper, and breaksea cod.
It was a productive day, but we still had to work for our fish, it was flat as cruising home as the sun was setting.

Crap up here, no fishing for me, worst 2 months of weather I've seen (apart from the equinoxial season) in near on 4 years in Exxy.

3 mile of Ocean Reef
Went chasing skippy & snapper at the 3 mile on Saturday. A lot of undesize snapper, best was 45 cm. No skippy but had a ball catching 6 - 7 kg yellowtail kingfish on light gear. released all.

I like the sound of those
I like the sound of those kingies. We've got plenty of sambos around the same size up but have seen no kings yet, mind you we have also been on the wrong end of some good old fashioned stitching ups!
