anyone know when are the fads getting pulled?

I heard its going to be this week, but does anyone know what day?

also, if anyone knows what fads are missing, or not in their correct spot would be grouse!

I tried PGFC site and a bit of facey-googling, but not much info on which day.

who actually pulls them? RFW? PGFC? Fisheries? Dept of Transport?

cheers

PGFC FAD program

Mon, 2019-05-20 19:36

The FAD program is run and funded by PGFC.

The FAD locations are marked as navigation hazards on charts from November to May, which means they have to be retrieved by the end of May.  Usually this is scheduled around the 3rd week of May to allow for bad weather that might delay the retrieval.

FADs

Tue, 2019-05-21 17:26

On behalf of a couple of my mates who fish the FADs and myself (I dont get out to them anymore) I would like to thank the PGFC for the great amount of effort and expense they go to, to bring the sport of game fishing to within the reach of a lot of small boat fishermen. Their contribution to the quality of fishing of the metro coast is very much appreciated.

Thank you PGFC.
