Anyone using aGarmin Echomap 95sv

Hi I'm looking at a new echomap plus and wanted info on what tranducers you are using. The plus comes with the GT52 as standard but I was interested in the GT51 for more powerful side scan. Is there anyone out there that has used either of these, any info would be apreciated also what depths are you able to get side scan to read. I can get the old 95sv chirp packaged with the gt51 but would prefer the new plus as its touch screen as well as buttons. Most of my fishing is in 15m to 40m but would like the ability to go deeper if needed. Cheers

I've got the very old model
I've got the very old model (before chirp) I think it has the 51.
The side scan seems to work ok in 20m but that's just idling along. I haven't tried it in deeper water using.side scan as I usually just use the standard view

95 sv plus
Clarky I have just purchased the exact set-up 95 sv plus but I managed to shop around a bit and a few places were happy to credit the gt 52 and add in the 51 for an extra $200 ish so worked out around the $1700 mark
Havent had time to fit it up yet but I was out in a mates tub with the same gear and it was pretty impressive hence me getting one
The next time i see that jig will be in the mouth of something big !!

Thanks Deep South
I might have to try that out on a couple people to see if I can get the same deal. Its good to know that that setup works well. Did you buy local or online, I am in the South West.

I run the Garmin Echomap 75
I run the Garmin Echomap 75 sv, get the GT51 Transducer.
The GT52 is only 300Watts and is designed for freshwater lakes fishing.
The GT52 struggles to read bottom in depths 50 mt + or rough when at cruising speed.
The Sidescan on the Gt 52 struggles in murky water also
