Augusta river mouth open?

Dose any one know if the Augusta river mouth is open?? And would you get out in a 7.1m boat??

Im going down in September and staying on the Blackwood river house boats. I'd take the big boat of I could get out the mouth.

I i know there's a new marina but don't want to pull it out then launch at the marina then same same on the way in

I think it is

Just got back from Augusta yesterday. We only had one arvo session out the front of the color patch. There appeared to be boats coming back in after a day outside. It was however very shallow and we got stuck in a 14 ' dinghy with a 25. I think you would have to follow someone out or go slow in daylight as there were narrow channels of 1-1.5mts with less than 30cm either side, a fair few of which closed up quickly leaving us to back out and try again. No markers in the shallow section but the eastern bank seemed to be the way. Good luck, ps the marina is awesome, we went for the blessing of the fleet and community markets on sunday morning.
