Australian Open

Not fishing related but gotta congratulate Jelana on her performance tonight. Even though she lost she has definately won back Australias support - what an epic match. What a good come back :)

One thing she needs to work on is her positive image, she looked like she was going to cry at any stage during the last sets, and be more aggressive.

Didnt she have a mole or something on her face before?

But with a father like hers why would you not always have a sad face. What a monster and good on her for fighting back. Australians love a battler, no matter what happened in the past. I remember thinking she was a **** when all that happened but now she is battling back and fantastic for her. G and D it is, just like you will need Jay when you finally nail that 100lb GT. Had to return to fishing somehow.

Was a gutsy effort!

Yes was a great match and against a #3 seed if i'm correct and she being 185 approx so good effort. I agree with Brett however, the body language wasnt good and gave Safina a lift and swayed the last set i reckon. Good to see her playing again with the Aus flag and agree Cransy when she left i thought the same....the old man has alot to answer for!

The Federa match was a blow out concidering he played against a good ranked player, he still won however....geez he's good!

Pity

Pity on both counts

1 - I really wanted her to win as she deserves a good result

2 - I REALLY wanted her to win as I had put some money on her at TAB.  The odds were right and Safina has been known to crack before :)
