AWSOME DIVE
Submitted by Paul G on Sun, 2010-11-14 13:00
Well after yesterday with viz not good we weren’t expecting much. Once out a few miles the water was so clear 20m viz and still .Once in the water on the float down to the bottom and there was a nice Dhuie around 4kg so many little fish Skippy ,wrasse, The water was full of life .Headed over to the edge were some crays live a bingo they were there in large numbers and from last time when they had not shed, there was plenty off shells on the bottom. Every hole and swim through had crays in it some reds some whites. Some good fish seeing Blackass, queenie ,dhuies, harliquin, blue grouper, baldchin, sambos, snapper. This was for sure a memorable dive.

Cant wait to get out der as soon as exams are over and new engine is fitted. Though I will admit I wont be as friendly as you to the Harli, once the ban is off, if a see a big one it will have a spear going straight through its head :p

I agree a great eating fish
I agree a great eating fish just some ground we keep for diving and just chilling. We to have spots that will be getting some good sized ones from .We have had a ball in the last few months finding new ground .It seems neverending .We are in the water at least twice a week sometimes four times so we do get around a bit.Knowing the sounder helps heaps as we see the cracks and hoverhangs and small openings before we get in the drink .Today we dived and edge we found last time out some distance from the boat .I sounded around for ten minutes and found the small overhang Where we had seen the mast crays. When we hit the bottom the anchor was 5m from the spot.

Swell!
With the 2.5m swell we just had everything down here (Mandurah) and inside the FFB is going to be murked up for another day or two, good to see you got some decent viz up that way!
Will be hoping for a swim later in the week, maybe Wed/Thur/Fri if my tanks get back from their hydro by then!

MMmmmmmm. Yummy! I can't remember the last time I had crayfish? It would be years I reckon. I'd love to have the problem of too many crays in my freezer Paul.
. I suppose that's what you get when you put in the hard yards like you guys do. Always look forward to checking out your pics and videos mate. Goodluck for a good season to everyone!

Top Pics
Thanks again Paul. Good luck, not that it looks like you need it, with getting a few when you make it in the water.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.
