Hi Guys, looking at fitting at an aluminium bait board on the rear of my fibreglass boat. Chasing some information on what would be the best mountings to use to secure it. not sure if i have the option of drilling straight through and using bolt and nut mountings. Attached is a photo of the type of baitboard i am looking at fitting. Any help will be much appreciated.

Only one way I can see to
Only one way I can see to mount it is bolting it on . Or possibly making a plate that fits the base from one side to the other of the bait board. Use silastic as it will help it hold and use several screws. Don't know if I would use the rod holder's if not bolted tho

Bolts
I fitted somrthing similar and used bolts with nylocs.
If you use the rod holders its amazing how quick the pressure mounts when it loads up.
Better safe than sorry.
Can you get into the underside of the area you are looking at mounting it?

Tim, need to get the cover
Tim, need to get the cover off the boat this weekend and have a good look. Yeah wouldnt think of using rodholders unless it was solidly bolted to the boat.
