hey guys been trying to get a few baldys as of late not having much luck,what sort of depth do they like?and the best bait??

I usually get them in the 40s, haven't had a chance to get out this season yet but there seamed to be lots last year
Ive found a good bait is mullet guts, use the mullet fillets for the dhuies and the guts for the baldies!

Flat hard coral ground, They aren't too finicky baitwise but try a smaller hook, around a 4 or 5/0.

Sea-kem spot on, flatter ground anything from 25-100m in metro waters, yes they do get shallower but not in good numbers, abrolhos is a different story.
bait, squid, occy, wrass, baker all catch and drop your hook size to 4-6'o

If you are really keen head North, Lanclin and Jurien have always delivered in my experience. All in 10 - 20m on hard flat ground as mentioned.
