Big Squid
It’s that time of the year again when the squid are getting thick in numbers.
Yesterday my old man rang and said Reese I'm going out for a squid you keen, unfortunately I was working so he took my Uncle, and they killed a pig on squid in the Cockburn Area, hitting the weed beds up from 3-9metres.
Needless to say in a few hours they had there bag limit of squid with some absolute corkers pushing close to 40cm on the hood. Sending me through pics which I seen I lunch break. (Bastards)
Using a range of squid jigs from 3.0 – 4.0 in Yamashita , Yo-Zuri and Harimsitu ,they certainly produced the goods with bright colors and whites doing the trick on the day.
Jealous is an understatement, however I must say good catches! I know what I’m having for dinner tonight.
