Bit the bullet

Well as some would know, I've gone out and bought Hezzy's dinghy from him. Hoping to get out into the sound before the pinky closure comes around, but if not, there's always next year. Already got a nice little dragonfly sounder gps combo for it, battery and electrics next, floor to go in soon and a couple of other mods over time. But it's been far too long, so here's to some good fishing.

Wishing many happy trips in your new dinghy!

When you do the floors, are you able to post up pics of the progress? I'm sure a few members will appreciate and learn from it!

Yep, going to go talk with Todd down at Epic, I can't do all this myself. Don't have the space or the tools, so there will be some before and afters.

Yeah Andy, got a decent 30hp yammy outboard on the back that's only just over 18 months old too. Will be doing plenty of exploring over the summer months.

seems you picked it up ok dale ??
hope you have as good as many catches in her as i have in the last few years down south

brent and i had a good day out yesterday , hit geo bay earlyish , had bloody fuse issues with the sounder and chart plotter , after 30 mins of trouble shooting leccy work we got to fishing , very quiet out there, we moved around across a few spots , weather was perfect and the wind died right of , so we perservered until 1 spot fired up
kept 3 good pinkies , biggest at 80cm released 2 others and 3 just under dhuies

beautiful day out on the water with my son and a chicken and salad lunch box catching fish

I started out a few years ago with a tinnie just like that one

Sun, 2016-09-04 19:07

with a 25 yammy on the back and loved that boat! Caught heaps off the three mile and towed it everywhere i went -, jurien, kalbarri dunsborough even with my 7 and 9 year olds had heaps of room for fishing and good times with them, a descent tinnie is a very underated fishing machine! and i had a dragonfly as well they are a great little unit lookin forward to many reports from ya when you hit the water! Mine had a fold down bimini on it which is a great addition when its 40 degrees and the sun is belting down, im thinking that should be one of your next additions to her, they are not very expensive from memory at whitworths and well worth it  cheers dave
