British Seagull

Hi all
Just wondering whether anyone still have one of these ugly ducklings running. Was raised on this as a child and was reminiscing when I thought I heard one the other day.

Who dropped that chip!
Arh yes the old seagull , and your right there kinda ugly but also sort coming back in style
as INDUSTRIAL I suppose.
Years ago I bought a cheap rubber ducky , the smallest one you could mount a engine to , so yep , we
went to Perth on a saturday night and bought the Sunday times , as bargain hunters did back then , and got a seagull
in near enough new condition for 100 bucks or something.
We test fired the rig in swan , and not being a solid floor duck , every time you floored the seagull , the bloody thing would
bend in the middle and try to dip the arse end under! laugh? we nearly drowned!
So we did the best thing you could , and bought a leaking cracked ex cray boat tender for bluewater trolling , but thats another story for later!

Have to agree Quad. That Ugly
Have to agree Quad.
That Ugly mechanical look IMO is rather cool.
Wouldn't mind finding one, even broken, and trying to get it up and running. Pretty much like me trying to resurrect old blowtorches that I used to collect.

I have one, almost unused.
I have one, almost unused. Mums brothers used the British anzani. You couldnt get lost, you could follow the oil slick home, and smoke with the old oils, the mozzies didn't bite cause the smoke was too thick for them to find you.

There's one hanging up in
There's one hanging up in the MAAC. The lastime I saw one in use was 25 years ago in Augusta. We had a 10ft trihull with a 6hp Tohatsu and the tinny with the seagull was the only thing we could run down on the estuary.

When I was a kid growing up
When I was a kid growing up in Carnarvon the old man had one as an auxiliary on his yacht. Good thing you could sail on and off the mooring was all I really remember of it.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
