busso for the weekend
Hi everyone my first report so bear with me , a mate and I took me boat down to busselton for the weekend was planned months ago so the annoucement of the ban took the edge of the trip but canceling was not an option , weather was too good with a breeze early then dead calm and crystal clear water all weekend , we got our allowance of crabs fairly easy , mainly fat females with a couple off biggies the squid where eratic with one here one there but again some nice big ones , plenty of hering around the jetty and some gharfish and while trying out my new lights saturday nite a huge shark fin was cruising around the jetty hate too think what size it was , we chased kgs but only got some sandies and wrasse also hooked my first mako which jumped a couple of metres out of the water when it realised that mulie had a hook in it and was good fun on my little trinnidad , it managed to chew through the line when I pulled it up to the boat which was a relief after seeing how well they jump all in all a great weekend lookin forward to the next trip out .

was heading down near the jetty eating my lunch while swearing at every boat i saw go past :)
where you pick up the mako ? they go like the clappers eh :)

I got the mako down by cape
I got the mako down by cape naturaliste was a fine sight leaping out off the water and the squid where everywhere in the bay just loners so keep moving around , the jetty I think is all closed and is being rebuilt or demolished not sure and has a exclusion zone around it we anchored on the edge and burleyed up seemed to attract plenty of fish from the jetty

nar the jetty isnt fully
nar the jetty isnt fully closed you can fish from up to the first plat form

Jetty closed
Apparently they are closing the jetty during weekdays while they are piling the new pylons in
