Canning Bream Today!

Dusted off the tinny today to go for a bit of a quick bream session in the Canning. Father in law was onbait and I was using plastics, first cast of the day resulted in a new PB of 38cm on a zman grub in motor oil colour. Heaps of 28cm+ fish around with a few upto 36cm caught aswell. Also picked up a couple of flathead both sitting on 34. All in all a bloody good day on the river with heaps caught (and released!) . And PBs for both me and the father in law!

Great stuff mate... nice to no there starting to get bigger in my neck of the woods! caught about a dozen a few weeks ago upstream a bit further... all about 20cm though

We were getting some good
We were getting some good fish yesterday, must have hit the place at the perfect time. Got totally blown away by one bream, made the stradics drag scream, just couldnt stop it! Really thought I had broken the 40cm mark on the big one I landed, next time!!!

Never been Bream fishing before. Do you think it's worth drpping the tinnie in after this weather clears in the canning or will the rain stuff it up

All I can say is give it a go, we have fished there on days when everything has supposed to have been perfect and not caught a thing, yet that day everything was wrong and we had a ball. Bloody fish never play by the rules! Are you using lures or bait?

I will use lures. Caught
I will use lures. Caught plenty of flathead and tailor in the river but never bream. I will try soft plasics and cast them into snags.
