Caravan Parks Exmouth
Submitted by Iceman on Thu, 2017-10-12 18:43
Planning a trip with camper trailer to Exmouth and was looking at staying at either Lighthouse Caravan park or Yardie Creek Homestead Caravan Park but have not had many good reports on either.
Has anyone stayed at either and can give feedback.
Was prefering to stay on West Side on penisular for close to beaches for fishing extra but if best is in Exmouth may have to go there.
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks

Facilities
Not taking a boat just trying to get an idea of what the grounds and facilities are like at the parks. Not getting the best reviews online so just wanted to hear from people who have been there

there is plenty of areas to fish from lb out of lighthouse. you can either walk to a few and a short drive for many of the tracks that lead to fishing areas along the road.

Park Review
I know the fishing is great but just want to hear about the caravan parks and what they are like. Don't want to spoil a good trip with shit facilities. Need to keep the wife happy and convince her OK to go.

I've stayed at yardie when I was fishing a comp and didn't want to drag an oversize into town every night. Had no issues. Was nice and clean and very close to tantas.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Have stayed at both. Yardi
Have stayed at both. Yardi for me. Alot quieter. Even thought both parks camping grounds are mainly dirt yardi woyld have more shaded areas.
Both sell fuel but the lighthouse park has a cafe and resturant.
The ammentities l recon are better at yardie and the water isnt a salty.

Lighthouse
Stayed at Lighthouse CP year before last. Reviews were ok so thought we'd give it a go. Very run down, bathrooms werent the best and the kitchen facilities left a lot to be desired. If you're staying in a caravan that has shower/toilet facilities then I guess its ok but we were in a tent. We left a day early, even tho we had paid in full for the whole week and ended up going to Coral bay CP.
Partner wanted, must have boat...please send picture of boat.

From what I hear Yardie gets a better wrap.
Be interesting to see what Twiggy Forrest does with the Lighthouse Park.

Ive been staying at yardie
Ive been staying at yardie forever. Was rough in the early days but no issues nowadays. New caretakers have really done a good job last couple of years, especially if you’re camping or in a van.
