buy some carby/intake/throttle body cleaner mate....give the carby a good spray n run it..also spray whilst running....the engine will want to die but just rev it and try keep it going.....carby will look imaculate after and should run sweet....if not you could have chrystalisd fuel in the fuel bowl wich can lead to it being blocked ....if it doesnt get used regualarly make sure u disconect the fuel line and run all the fuel out of the engine after each use :) hope ive helped haha
It was 12 months ago when you had motor issues, now you are saying that the motor wasn't fixed (above), is that right? you have been running the motor for 12 months with a problem.
what hours have you put on the motor since then? or has the motor been running fine and this is another problem, or the same problem back again.
Perhaps you might give a bit more info, we gave you a lot of advice and info on your last engine problem thread, and I don't see how after all that work you had done, the carby would need to be cleaned unless you are using really crappy fuel and oil.
Out of curiosity, what are you studying at Uni? (the pair of you).
And since nearly everything has been covered before, in your previous posts, its time to start thinking outside the square.
have a read of your previous posts and reply's, its no good just going back over old ground.
I'm not a boat mech.... But I do work as a service mech and from reading through your previous post I think you guys need to fault find the motor while the fault is present...
If you don't want to to take it back to a mechanic your going to have to familiarize yourselves with the motor and probably borrow some specialist tools....
I'd be inclined to do a compression check whilst it is cold and then another once it has heated up and bogged down, also check spark before and after the problem is present...
considering that you don't know what the problem is, you need to identify what it is not... You can probably rule out spark plugs, as they were changed out a couple of times according to the previous thread (may want to check that they are the correct ones for the motor, not just replace with what was there)...
how many cylinders is the motor? You mentioned in the last thread that it ran rough once the problem started, is it running on all cylinders?
My dislike of paying for average service has caused me to learn a lot for myself... May cost you in tools but if you buy quality you have them for life... Basically if you don't want to pay for labour your going to have to learn alot for yourself, it'll definitely take you longer and may be frustrating at times but IMO its worth the hassle
How ever I think it is an ignition problem, so you can spray in the carbies what ever you like it wont fix it. It is only happening under load and when it is fully warmed up. As I said in your previous post, the engine needs to be tested under load, and I believe that is what the mechanic that worked on it said.
So what I suggest is that you tie up to a jetty, have someone at the controls and run the motor up in gear (load the prop) until the problem begins, take off the cowl (or have it off already) and pull off each spark plug lead from the plug.
If its a faulty lead you will probably know! (ha ha) if its a faulty coil, then pulling off that lead will make no difference to motor performance. The leads that you pull off that cause the motor to run rougher or stall are OK.
Care needs to be taken on how you tie the boat,we don't want a accident.
If you are keen on bringing it to Woodman point jetty, I could lend a hand.

Yes ellimination is the key.

I would say ignition problem,
I would say ignition problem, you need to get a spark tester (available on ebay)
and an engine service book for that engine (also available on Ebay).
The tester allow you to test the spark strength, you wind it in or out to determine.
The manual will give you some indecation of what it should be. From here you will be able to
determine if you have an issue with your coils.
If it is not this compression test the engine at temperature, if you have major variations between
cylinders you have an issue. If this is ok then look at your fuel, carbies.
Fuel + Spark = Bang
