Well done Buz.
You never know what's around Garden and Carnac. I was out there two weeks ago getting a few whiting and same thing although I didn't see the end result after 20 minutes of trying. Also hooked a shark on a floater same day about 5 foot long. We have had sharks in 10 metres around Carnac take whiting off the flickies including a 5 foot hammerhead.

of a passed Commodore down at the Club been fishing all day out wide Club Comp, came in decided to stop on the 5 fathom bank, hooked a 24.5kg dhuie, won the Comp, but that was the only fish for the day. He got a fibreglass mould of the dhuie and it (then ate him) hangs in the Club Rooms just above the bar.
