Castledare monster

Hi. Down at castledare today. Caught many bream but something strange happened. Dropping a line down and a very large fish was stalking the bottom. Every time we had the humongous bites of this the bream went off the bite. Managed to hook it on the line and wash pulling so hard that the drag was moving out very easily (I cannot even move the line a bit). Strange thing is that the rod was not pulling like a struggling fish either.
this was all on the grassed areas at castledare railway. It snapped about 5 lines of 6lb fluorocarbon leader. Does anybody know what this May have been?
lachie.

Sounds like a job for JEREMY WADE!
Watch out for over overdramatised reactions of young children apparently, according to local legend, having their feet bitten clean off while wading to fetch lost tennis balls haha
