with the closure comming up fast . i know the kg's are going to cop a hammering but what other species will everyone going to be chasing? there are lots of other fish out there apart from the banned list , i will be happy just to be getting out on the water and getting a feed of kg's and sandies or even the odd sambo if it so happens, all a good feed

i'll be trolling for maks
i'll be trolling for maks when the water heats up a bit. diving for crays, and trolling little lures at the back of sepo in my dinghy for decent tailor
it really is a shame that it had to come down to a closure

when the closures are on there is going to be a lot of strain put on the bread and butter species which will be targeted alot more during the closure. i dont see wat is going through there head to shut it down like they are planning

Mate I think there is a
Mate I think there is a strain on demersal stocks,I don't need any research to tell me that i have fished for 40 years from Two Rocks and have seen first hand the constant fishing on these fish have done , I love fishing and would love to keep catching these fish for many years to come .if it were left to some people they would take until nothing was left ,to months is not long for most they may miss out on five or six trips out wide . i won't bother with the bread and butter fish i'll dive and do some trolling ,hell just being on the water is great.

i agree there is a strain on
i agree there is a strain on those stocks and agree with the new bag limits but not with the closure. being that people will target species like whiting a lot more. over time those fish stocks will be reduced as well.

you guys have a good point
you guys have a good point about the stocks of the demersal fish and the whiting are going to get targeted but it will only be for 2 months as where the others get hammered for the other 10 months , i feel its fair , bag limit and closure especially if we want the bigger species to be around in another 10 years,
