Gday,
Well me and two mates are off to Cone bay start of May. Pretty much have the trip sorted but was wondering if anyone could share some more info on their experiences there and the do's and dont's of the place. Ive heard some great stories of the place already.
any info much appreciated.
Cheers guys.
Mark.

awsome
i was up there a few years ago on a pearl farm in cone bay and there is some insane fishing on the north side of the bay for longtail tuna. on the south side just up from the pearl farm on the rock is a place called snapper point. had the best fly fishing on everything there when the tide was coming in. on the north side there are some inlets they take you into some of the nicest tucked away bays and are full of big barra and big jacks. hunt around in the bay for some coral trout. i had some local aboriginal guys take me to a spot and the trout were xxxsize! too big to eat but didnt realise that they got that BIG! what an awsome place dont swim in there there are some rather large tigers and saltys in there. enjoy the trip boys that is gods country up there.

Where's my invite ya prick. MY montes trip just went to shit with an arguement between my prop and a boat ramp. Boat ramp won. But hopefully heading up to the Ord to get some big Barra for breeding purposes.

Cheers for the offer mate but
Cheers for the offer mate but got other things happening then. F@#ked the prop at exxie along with other bits on the last day of Gamex. We will stick to beach launching the tub, it's safer. Montes trip if off due to motor repairs ,but there are a few pinheads around so will chase them when boat is sorted.

hopefully the cyclone doesnt
hopefully the cyclone doesnt stir it up too much for u... Yea coming home on the chopper the other day we were about 10km off Lombadina(Cape Leveque) and there were massive schools of tuna busting up out there... these schools were massive too so wouldnt be surprised if there were sailies in the mix there somewhere...
Back to work Tues/Wed by the looks of it....
