CONTENDER 25T

Hi,

I would love some feedback from anyone who has had direct experience owning and fishing out of a Contender 25' Tournament....

Cheers.

I would also be keen on some feedback on anyone owning a Contender 25T anytime now (yep changing out for Fury 26ft). Am looking at bringing one in new from the US, trying to get a ride out on a mates mates contender 25T to see how they go. Can understand they are a great performing hull, wondering how the experience is at rest?

Just time for a change. I've had the Fury a while and its been an absolutely sensational boat, I'm not sure I've been on a better fishing boat for WA waters (although im biased). Got a mate who's as mad as i am and keen to go in on a new boat, the contender is high on the list.

Fury will be for sale, Brand new ali trailer, new electronics, batteries etc if your interested :)

I've got a 21 and have spent a fair bit of time on a 23T/25T, what do you want to know? There is an Contenders Owners Australia facebook page, heaps of guys on there who are happy to talk about their boats. The importer Sam Wallrock is an absolute legend as well and always happy to help out with info.
Bodie is that the Fury with 2x225 Yams?

Ahh man that would be a sweet boat I havent seen a 26 CC. Would there be much point in changing over to a 25T?
As far as at rest goes the 25T is great, very different to mine. Have fished 4x people jigging on one side and its no problem.
They do need large tabs and to be run aggressively to get the best out of them. Wedges help too.

He's been running one as a charter boat in Exmouth for years (Peak Sportfishing).
