just back myself
first trip there, things we noticed
- possibly the most expensive supermarket in w.a.
- premium $2.07 regular $1.85
- the grey nomads are everywhere
- the glass bottom boat trip is great
- there is a spunk working at the general store(but leaving soon)
- captain Bernie is very good at what he does.
Will be back next year, missus loved it. I would have loved it more if the f'ing wind dropped enough to get my boat out but the charter day was still fun and the boat caught its quota.
Don't think ill ever stop going to the place that's about 80km south though, this trip confirmed it for the both of us.
Reverse cycle a/c supply and install - Ducted and wall splits

Rip off Bay
One thing you will be guaranteed to get in October is wind and more wind.
Most of the seagulls [grey nomads] are on their way south now as the southerlies have started right on time again, SE 15-20 knots turning S-SW in the afternoon 25-30 every day from now through till the middle of March with only small windows if you're lucky.

well aware of the weather
well aware of the weather patterns John thanks.' Ive worked around the NW corner for the last 18 yrs continuous.
It certainly is a lucky dip, but last oct wasnt too bad and the pattern over the last couple of years has been less consistant.
For me, having 5 kids we are getting more limited in choice as they get older and the choices are
1/ stay home
2/ head away
as we have a few good friends in business there and the kids have a blast just running with all the other kids, we'll just suck it up as it comes
I wont cry if it howls though I reserve the right to whinge and connect Coral Bay as a suburb of Carnarvon if its really shit

Is Already
Its a suburb already, comes under the Carnarvon shire, Exmouths boundary is about 50ks up the road.
