Coronation Ballooning

G'day guys
I've done heaps of beach fishing around coronation beach north of gero, and have the area pretty sussed out as far as tailor/herring/mulloway go.
I know there is a reef that runs the whole way along the beach, in most spots about 100-200m out, and was wondering if i'd have much luck ballooning there?
Guessing there woulld be mackies hanging around there but not too sure??
There is herring packed around the beaches, would they be a good enough bait for ballooning?
Any info appreciated.
thanks in advance

Herring
Herring can make a decent balloon bait, I would definately bd giving it a go up that way
