Couple quick questions

 G'day lads

couple quick questions while I wait for my burger after the front 9 (which was horrid)

1. When fishing places like eshed and busso jetty for mulla especially what sorta spin rod for a heavy spin real is appropriate? Would I look rediculous with my beach combo or should I rather get a heavy boat spin rod? Running 50lb braid mostly

2. I have my Uni break in June/July and thinking if camping down Albany for the salmon. Would they be past there by then or would they still be hanging about. Would it be better down dunsborough way at that time?

cheers fellas

Your current setup will be fine mate for LB ,sure if the rod is longer than say 10feet it will be a little too long, but who cares, just give it a go. The fish wont know !!!!

You dont want a surf rod off busso jetty! Need to be 8ft or less I use all boat gear 6ft amd 5.6 sprt a suze spinning reels with 30lb and overheads with 50lb braid. Fish liveys during the main run april may june and you will be in luck!! I have caught a few mullys of the jetty and long rods is the last thing you want!!

Salmon

You would be better off going to Albany  because the salmon have usually finished their major run up the west coast by June with only a few stragglers left behind by the middle of June and Albany getting the full back run.

Not sure about the Busso

Not sure about the Busso jetty but I have a 14 foot two piece gaff I use for the E shed and it reaches the water with ease and most people I see there use the same.

I did add a few extra rivets in it where it joins though for added strength.
