crabbing in ski zone...?

 Hey goes just wondering what the rules are on drop netting in the ski zone (canning bridge to Mt Henry ) yesterday had about 6 plus boats so well over 60 drop nets/floats bobbing arpund. Pretty fookin stupid I thought         (could barely see the floats in the sun's glare)... is it allowed? What are the rules?  Need to know before I start goin off at them next time

 Illegal, I accidently put one inside the south perth zone once and was told in no uncertain terms to move it (fair call) just common sense I guess.

The rules are pretty clear that you cant drop nets or crab in a ski area between 9am and 6pm (or day light hours, cant remember which one).

There are MULTIPLE signs posted all around deep water point and there is even a massive big illuminated screen displaying that there is a crabbing restriction at the boat ramp. Yet I still saw 3 different boats get picked up for it by water police in an hour on Sunday.

yer if they do it on weekends there real stupid. According to this link they can drop them during the week(except for that one passage) which i think is dumb. so much river to crab in. Do you think crabs shy away from the ski area during the day with boats hooning up and down non stop???

 wentt for a cruise from mandurah to ravenswood on the weekend and some fuckwits had theire crab nets set in the channel in the peel estuary I caught one as it was on a clear lastic bottle as a float, if your going to be so stupid to do this dont anyone complain whe a 6m boat runs over your lines and cuts off your nets......dickheads!!!!

Heh, im not in the shit at all mate im actually one of the nicest politest people you could Meet. Ive never cut a line in my life unless it was warrented (as in some idiot who used to drop his pots on top of our strings.. In the industry that is akin to theft..

So no i donot cut lines mate :)

 I dont have an attitude, i am just very vocal in my opinions. If that annoys anyone i apolagise, but it isnt aimed at doing so.

But i will admit, most comm fishermen are quite...shall we say opinionated :d

Edit

 I wasnt gonna coninue this but i had to expand on things. Nothing i said in anyway says i cut peoples lines not that i have an attitude. The whole post is in responce the fact that some idiots break the laws for their own benifet and drop lines in ski zones. So how exactly am i in the wrong here :)

If you cut his lines because hes breaking the law its his own fault, an your actually doing river boaters a favor.

Anyways back to my movie, have fun all :)

Can you do me a favour tassy and go cut all there lines cos I won't mind :) I fish alot but when I'm wakeboarding in the ski area they're major inconvenience. I do ride as close as I can to there lines and do several laps hopefully those crabs don't walk into their nets ;
