Cray pot quality

Can anyone tell me why these are so much cheaper than everything else advertised ?

not sure I can justify $270ish from shops.

I have 4 of them and they are catching lots of crays.  I did put another row of battens around the sides and added extra weight as well as anode. We have had them in the water for 6 weeks and no sign of them falling apart.  Cheers. Westy

just looking at the advertisement it looks to me like he's a bloke trying to make a bit of cash on the side by making them in his backyard (good luck to him in my book).  The ones in the shop cost a whole lot more because they go through several hands before they get into the shops and everybody that touches them wants their piece of the pie.
