our last 3 pulls for 0 crays as well. Spoke to a diver mate couple of days ago who said theyre everywhere but they've just moulted and still very soft.Hoping 2 start getting a few again this week. Before they moulted we were averaging 4 a day.
We dived pretty shallow off Freo. Crays are definitely moulting. Saw a few whites (crays), but plenty of shells lying around and lots of dirty crays about to drop their shells. Might still be a week or so before they start to walk into pots. Looks promising compared to the last few years.
Got our limit today from 3 pots with leftovers and didn't pull the 4th all whites.. Also got 150kg on the pro boat.. They started for us yesterday and should only get better.. Good luck guys should be able to get a feed in the next few days..
Our ami pots are in about 10m but pro pots are all over the place...all inside second bank(3mile reef roughly).. No idea about mandurah but if you put them in the sand close as possible to a good reef edge you should hopefully get a few.. Good luck
Got my 1st 2 whites for the season this morning in the pots. Water was very murky tho so was hard to set the pots back rite on the edges of the reef, hopefully clears up a little for my next trip out.
If your not getting em now either someone is getting to em first or your in the wrong spot.. 570kg from 100 pro pots today. Most amateurs are getting there 3 person limit from one or two pots if they are in the right spots..
Divers are getting plenty of crays in 7 metres still off Bunbury. I've got 2 pots in 8 metres and still waiting for them to walk. Might throw 1 in 10 metres as it's looking like Friday & Sat will be no good to pull them.
Hi All, been lurking on here for a while but first post. Chasing a report on the five, we've got pots just off the back but only managed 5 from 8 pulls, worst start we've had. Anybody getting some off the five?
Whites will start to move with the swell over the weekend, may pay to move them close to the back of the island, just off the reef in the sand after the weekend. welcome and good luck!
