Don't think shark skin would be any good for handbags and boots. Good question tho. I am trying to call the sharks tho . 1 at a time on the hook then pan
They don't even try and destroy the shark when it's attacking the fisheries boat immediately after a fatal attack so no its because the shark huggers haven't jumped on the croc wagon yet after all it is their home stay away from the water if you don't want to be eaten bla bla dribble dribble.
Maybe we should only suspend drink drivers when they kill someone in a crash rather than a blanket approach aimed at thinning out their numbers to reduce the risk
someone is walking through the bush and gets bitten by a snake, the snake slithers off and the person dies. Should we go and kill all the snakes within a 5km radius ?
Have you given up on your pack of dogs analogy after it was shot down?
If an event occurs that allows the population of Tiger snakes to explode over two decades and they start seeking out and killing people enjoying popular tourist locations like Bells Rapids or the Bibbulmun Track at a rate far higher than experienced in the 50 years preceding that them yes, I’d imagine action would be taken to thin out their numbers in that area to prevent future attacks. Unlike Whites, snakes can successfully be relocated never to return to an area.
Have you ever stayed on a farm? What do you reckon the farmer does when a dugite slithers up to the house near the kids and the family dog, coax it back towards the bushes or introduce it to the long handled shovel/12 pellets?
where was your counter analogy and where was my insult ? All I saw was a post about drink drivers that had nothing to do with the original post and nothing to do with my reply to the original post.
What they really should do is a tagging program....
Tag all the crocs, 1m freshys - 6m Salties.....
Then they should install Croc alarms every few hundred meters along the coast from Onslow to Timber Creek...
They should also fly the Westpac Chopper twice a day along that stretch at tax payers expense...
Its a bit of a hike so tax payers will probably need a few choppers running all day every day ( during croc season of course )
Then if a bloody scoundrel croc comes into the area, we should tow him by the tail up into the bush a few hundred meters away from the danger area to make the area safe again...
So dont enter the water in any of these zones unless there is an alarm and especially dont enter the water if the alarm is going off ( which will be most of the day because A - they are faulty and B - a 1m freshy has triggered the alarm )
Lets just hope that the crocs stay on the endangered list because there was a survey done by scientists who think there is an estimated population of only 25 breeding female crocs but that number could actually be 25,000,000 crocs because the data we collected is done by scientists with a fancy hat they got from Uni but the station owners beleive 25,000,000 is still on the low end but the station owners have a different sort of hat so we can't listen to them because they are only on the land all day everyday seeing crocs eating cattle and breeding like fuck but the scientists think it might have been the same croc ( one of the 25 ) breeding over and over...
Lets just wait and keep researching... Its only money anyway right....
There was a three meter one hanging out near the hospital up here the other day, no one gives a shit ( I filled my pants ) People are still swimming in the water less than 500m away. A local Doctor was saying he treats more shark than croc attacks up here. Just remember when your out in your boat or in the water you're not at the top of the food chain.

Most likely due to the crocs
Most likely due to the crocs being territorial so they're much more likely to get the offending handbag compared to the generally nomadic shark.

Yep
hit the nail on the head, a shark is long gone within a short time of an attack so pretty hard to pin down the offender.
My spots are so secret even the fish don't know about them !
