Crocodile 'a threat' to beach goers at Coral Bay

The Department of Conservation and Environment (DEC) will continue to search for a saltwater crocodile that is a threat to campers and beach goers at Coral Bay, north of Perth.
A three metre crocodile was spotted at Maud Landing on Tuesday afternoon and the DEC believes the animal is about 30 kilometres south of Coral Bay.
It is the first time a Crocodile has been seen as far south as Coral Bay in more than a decade.
Roland Mau from the DEC says an emergency response team is hoping to trap the crocodile without shooting it, but the safety of Easter holiday makers is the Department's first concern.
"The likelihood of an attack from a crocodile in that area is not that high, however the consequences of an attack by that animal could be potentially fatal," he said.

Hope they
release it in the fountain at Parliament House - it should get on well with the resident sharks.

Why Not
One more scene of bickering and fighting.
That may take up some News time as well although many would find it more entertaining that the norm I bet!!!!!!!!
Its a bit late to head home early.

Confirms a story
This confirms a story an old timer was telling me in Karratha last August that during the war they used to shoot them as target and stalking practice and essentially wiped out the population of crocs from Carnarvon to Broome.
He said that is only a matter of time and they will reclaim the territory again.

Bullshit!
If it was a big tiger shark or white pointer hanging around would it be shot? i dont think so. Relocate it! It has as much right to live as any other animmal.
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more serious than that!!!
