Dash Cameras

just bought a new dash camera for the ute, so hopefully I can capture some of these morons on the road. I'm a little paranoid driving around up here and I've already seen some absolutely diabolical things already but I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg, so hopefully I can even record something to prosecute some of these guys if it comes to that. Might even be good recording some of these bike riders who always claim to be doing the right thing.

After looking around at a few, I settled on the Livue LB100 HD. Picked it up for $140 from a mob over East.

Lol tim-o, gone are the days when i was young and used to muck around on the roads, but it seems gone are the good old days when people minded their own business too. i think there are alot of people that forget what it was like and what they were like as young adults... everyone wants to play the toy cop, dont get me wrong i dont condone reckless and dangerous driving at all, but everyone was young once and done things, they probably shouldnt of now when they look back, i know i sure have, and if you say you havent i say your full of crap. dash cams are great for accidents and proving your innocent or for victims of road rage, not for snitching on people that are going 5kms over the limit etc...

Yep, agree whole heartedly, a mate of mine hit a roo on his way to the airport one early morning and his insurance company just said, prove it. So he got a camera on his next R&R.

the knobs are out there!!
Getting some good stuff so far, although the bloke who nearly rear ended me in the wet yesterday can only have his ABS to save him there, and I'm facing forward with the camera anyway. Had some champion knob head cut me off this morning on Wellard Road, Gilmore Ave turn off and then invited me off to the side for some biffo, all after he tried to get the better of my ute with his shitbox Mazda Bravo, which he was selling and we got some nice footage of the details of his for sale sign on the side window. But that won't amount to much.
