Dawesville Cut

Took the 2 young blokes for a fish this morning on the northern side of the cut. They had a ball plenty of small tarwhine, skippy, sand whiting. Young bloke caught his second size KG whiting only scraped in at 29cm but he was stoked, dad was also stoked till it pissed down.

I love the little stuff

And a KG is a KG. A little further north to that at dawn and dusk, better in warmer weather but all year is possible is a good spot for chopper tailor, either ganged mulie or smiling jack lures in the blue colour. They arent that expensive as other lures, but tailor love them. Another idea is to attach a glow stick just above the Bait/lure.

Good luck and good fishing.

Cheers

Neels

Salmon trout should be

Salmon trout should be running along there soon. working a plastic or drifting a baby mulie around the bridge pylon usually produces some fish this time of year, the kids would have a ball catching them :)

I've had some epic sessions

I've had some epic sessions at that bridge pylon mate. I find it most productive when the current is realy screaming through. Good spot for skippy, tailor, herring, bream, salmon trout and a family friend even managed to catch a 60cm+ yellowtail kingfish on plastic there targeting skippy! Good luck, I might even see you there one day :)
