 Just go the "usual" spots

Just go the "usual" spots mate - Hillarys, Freo Moles, Mandurah, Burns Beach, Yanchep etc. All produce fish during day hours. I'd be trying for species such as Tarwhine, Skippy, Whiting, Herring etc.

Nice, that's about as big as they (well as I've caught) get there. Still fight well on light rigs though.

North or South wall?

I was happy as pig in shit! It was my first session with a new little diawa combo [$100] 6lb, gave it a great work out. North wall. Heaps of life in the water there, big mullet, bait schools, crabs. Really enjoyed it.

Had a ball at Eshed when up in Freo for a meeting. Used a 1000 size reel and light rod. It was a blast catching slimey and scaly macs on that. Even small fish can be heaps off fun when not skull dragged.
