Dead penguin in the sound
Submitted by reece on Mon, 2016-02-29 20:12
Went to set the cray pots with a mater today and saw this dead penguin half way between woodies point and garden island. Hope it's not the start of a nother die off. It had no visible signs of damage or teeth marks

Another " Kill off" ?
Not trying to be a smartarse, but penguins don't have gills. Probably a boat strike, or just natural causes--people like to brag about doing 40 knots, but wildlife, even fast stuff like penguins, has absolutely no chance of seeing anything coming at speeds like that.
