Deckies wanted

Being an ex non boat owner and watching others heading out to tackle the fray undermanned, and now, although on very few occasions I can't get a mate for a fishing trip, thought this forum might be a good place to advertise for fishing partners. I have seen it and been apart of it in the past were a boat owner has headed out with total strangers (well not exactly total strangers but NEW FRIENDS) were the passengers have been overwhelmed by the opportunity of getting out and the skipper is delighted by the fact that he has a safety number!
These comment were brought about by last cray season were I was out on my own (with other boats) but had wasted space onboard. Even with mates with their boats in the area I would have felt a whole lot better If I had someone with me!
I am suggesting that a space be created ie. this forum, for people to be able to advertise their availability and/or the space available for outings or group outings.
My local dive shop holds a list of people for dive buddies, for when your usuall buddies are pre-occupied etc. A meeting place like this could also provide for people to hook up when fishing in a new area. ie, I have several secret spots all along the coast.
There is nothing worse than learning the local secrets the day your leaving!!

I will create a new forum topic for a fishing buddies/spots available. I know that I have heaps of time off over the Chrissie period and will be looking to go out with anyone, or, hopefully my boat should be done by then for someone to come with me..
I'm more than sure that there will be a few punters on here that will be interested.. Why pay all the costs yourself when theres others that are willing to chip in for a great day out on the water.. Sometimes the best fishing experiences are when you are out with someone else and they get that magical fish or moment that turns the day around into something special..

Im always keen and ive met some quality guys on the site too! Needless to say you get on pretty quick and share spots and tactics which is always better than doing the same old thing.
