Deep south

A few shots from yesterday.

Plenty of sambos to wrestle with and some great table fish as well.

Found some guy sleeping under the ramp which i brought out. He had some bling gear though!

That first sambo drilled me

Thu, 2010-12-23 09:03

That first sambo drilled me pretty hard, damn thing got me on the first drop, just off the bottom, the other ones we got up weren't too hard work on the Synit.

Nice to get some tablefish on jig out deep too, that nanny is going to be cooked up tonite!

Its called an Esca Fishing Light. Not too sure what was up with it yesterday, I didn't notice it switch on, but it worked fine in a cup of salt water when I got home.

I couldn't drop anything less

Thu, 2010-12-23 15:00

I couldn't drop anything less than 400g, the current was too strong. You really need something strongly tail-weighted too.

The grey-barred really give

Thu, 2010-12-23 15:18

The grey-barred really give up the fight 100m off the bottom but the hapuka keep kicking, although not that hard.

That demo synit rod has been copping a pounding and its still taking it better than me ;)
