disappointment with fishing fix

Im up at work at the moment and have been watching the weather on Seabreeze noticing the weather has been looking good for the last few days, so for the last few nights I have been constantly checking fishwrecked for any stories, reports, photos of everyones catch but there hasnt been many posted!! Haha I havnt been able to get my fishing fix and looks like murphys law next week when I am home the weather is going to blow up so I probably wont get out either!!
Hahaha Make sure you lucky guys are putting your stories and photos up for us who cant get out so we can dream :)

Took the boys out today piggy, nothing special but we did ok. the boys had fun which was the main thing.

Fun is the main thing and time with the boys!! Did you go out of Seabird or Perth mate?
I went out off Ledge 2 breaks ago in my tinny and caught an 11kg Dhu less than 2kms off shore!! was an awesome fight in the tinny on light gear!!

That's why we are bloody lucky up that way mate! Nah launched fro Mindarie with Gilly and I haven't measured it yet But I reckon an 80k round trip maybe more. We did come accross some awesome gound but not much demersal wise. The water was very enjoyable, just wanted to the boat a run before Gnaraloo. She launched beautifully off the recently refurbed trailer and handled awesome with new steering cable etc.
We should catch up at Ledge for a game of golf mate! Few beers!

For sure mate Im keen for that!! My handicap at Ledge has improved these days with knowing the course alot better!! Few beers will bring the handicap back down tho hahaha

Your're not the only one mate
I've recovered from my knee surgery enough after 4 weeks to take the dinghy out so, I launched at East Freo with my brother this morning and berleyed up around the traffic bridge throwing plastics and minnows for nothing drifting right back to East Freo. Tried around the pylons at the yacht club and mooring in the river as well as the flats for nothing. Trolled down to Bicton and nothing until the sounder just about blanked in colour from a bait ball and foul hooked a scalie and had a few more runs through only managing to foul hook more scalies so we stopped up and started chucking plastics around them.
This school of scalies was amazingly huge and I could have just about walked on them and our hopes of hooking a mulla were very high but apart from balling up once they were really just swimming around relaxed as hell. I tried to use a baitchaser rig to hook some more scalies but they weren't interested.
